June 2016!

We've had some exciting weekends in the past couple months.  Finishing 3 new Ch's and competing at the American Nationals with "Desi" & "Dyna"

This is Dyna's 3rd place win at the ASSA in Reno NV  She was in the open black class with about 30 girls entered.

Desi was 3rd in her class, she did very well for a baby travelling that far.  We flew into Las Vegas NV and drove to Reno NV by ourselves, the girls were getting tired of me talking to them (No phone or radio for 350 miles)

We have been extremely busy with some beautiful new babies in our house.
The yard is finally "groomed" for new Flowers & Tree's being plated!  We are starting to enjoy the yard, and not working as hard making NEW work areas.  :)

Pups are growing fast, we have NINE babies.   Bean has 5 babies and Frankie has 4.   Both moms are retiring from motherhood.   Frankie's new family eagerly awaits her to come to them.

We have retired a few this year.  Alexis, Diva, Bean & Frankie have all gained 100% couch status.  ;)  Teegan also left to her new home on the Island in Victoria!  How lucky is she!

We love the updates from everyone, pictures and videos, either retired dogs or puppies its so nice to get updates regularly.

Seems our website is down, with no answers to what has happened.   Im trying to get some answers!   :(

Our New Girl "Bell" was off to a few shows with Trina Neil & Connie Crohn, and her first weekend, had a big win, BOB from the classe's over a few top shelties in Canada.   Here is her win photo!

What can we say?  Winter barely arrived, i shouldnt say that, as we might get hit with a 30+ cm snow storm in April!  We had a awesome end of the year, the dogs had done so well at shows, and we already have 2 new Ch. for 2016!

September already!

Time Fly's when your having fun, the summer has been busy, with shows, and 8 new fabulous babies!  We have been busy chasing 7 Sables from our "Selena" & "Rage" Litter born July 8/15.  Then a week later "Dyna" had her baby sire by "Lu" a bi blue boy.

They are just so much fun, now some are on their way to new homes, with great people, cant wait to watch them grow!

We are hoping this will be one of our keepers, we are in love!

We have to brag a bit about our last show weekend also, the baby "Denon" decided to rip up the show ring, and finish his Championship under 7 months of age!   He is now known as CH. BPIG Cassbar Turn it Up finishing with 2 big wins Best of Winners, and best puppy in Breed.

We had a our baby Lira also decide she wanted to play and was Best Baby Puppy in Group on the Thursday, shes not ready to show in points yet, but was learning the ropes well!

We were off to Thunder Bay in the middle of July also, where we finished up "Bindi" Cassbar's Treasured bi Dyniques and started the career on "Flower" Padona Something Bad.   Bindi is co owned with Marilyn O Donnel and Flower with Paula Reid.

Im Broken! Summer is so close!

So I have managed to break my wrist in a few places, so the past 5 weeks has been challenging.   With dogs even more so!  thank you everyone who has pitched in to help us threw my one arm adventure!

Our May show weekend started out with me breaking my wrist the friday morning.   Luckily friends were staying as Dale was already gone to work.  Trina, Connie & Kim were there and got me to the hospital!

They also took my dogs to the shows, and did amazing with them, finishing Toffee  New Ch Cassbar's Carnival Toffee that weekend and putting her Sire up to 7 points & Melody to 8 i do believe.  It was all a blur for me and my heavy drugs after my arm was set!  Ch # 4 this year!

I decided to attempt to attend shows in Alberta first week of June, 5 weeks with a cast, managed to finish 2 new Champions on the Friday!   Melody was also Runner up in Sweeps on Saturday with Norma Jean Pohl Judging

New Can Ch going BOW to finish is "Rage" BISS Am Bronze G Ch Kensil's Nutrageous .   He is such a fun dog to show, and we've had a blast with him.  Very excited about our litter due in July from him.  Sadly his stay ends up being short and Rage is on his way to his new home in China shortly.  Ch # 5 for us.   

We also finished "Medody" New Ch Cassbar's Uptown Funk going WB the Friday with the same judge at  NACA Linda Scanlon & Runner up in sweeps on Saturday at the ESSC

Spring is here! and were off to the American Nationals!

We have had a really fun time this last past few weeks.   Three new Champions in three weeks!
Our "Kenshe" boys, Frankies babies had a great time as babies, finishing up their Championships from the 6-9 month class.  Both are now well on their way to their Grand Championships!

 This is New Champion "Fury" Cassbar's Rapid Fire, who was BOB over a special to finish his Ch. Then the next day taking a Breed win and a Select win, for some Grand Championship Points.
"Fury" is co-owned with ourselves and Terese Karpluk

"Dante" BPIG New Ch.  Cassbar's Stand and Deliver,  brother to Fury, finished in only 3 shows!  He also is on his way to his Grand Championship.  Watch for our little Dante at the American National April 205 in Fredricksburg,  VA

"Morgan" New Ch. Kismet Siren Song of Akirene

We also waiting out our lovely "Morgan" who was owned/loved by my friend Rod Oishi, who has since passed.   She was looking awesome, so we brought her out needing only 2 points, and she finished with a Breed win, over a special for 4 points!   She is owned by Rod Oishi & Jackie Sumida
Morgan will now be looking for a couch to call her own where she will be the only dog.   Happy Retirement Morgan!

We have a new hopeful here at Cassbar also, he just takes our breath away.   Not totally fixed on his name, but after his Sire "Sony" BISS  Am/Can Ch. Barwood's Surround Sound, we were thinking "Denon"  Cassbar's Turn it up!  His Dam is Ch. Kensil's Lyrical World at Cassbar

This is "Denon" at 11 weeks old.   We are so excited about his future

Spring babies!

We were blessed with some new babies while we were in Hawaii, our close friend Marilyn O Donnel had these two babies for us, now at our place and we are so enjoying such a small litter, the "boys" Hall & Oates are so much fun!

We have a second litter now 3 weeks old they are "Charlies" Cassbar's Main Attraction,  babies.   The sire is BISS Am/Can Ch. Solange Valedictorian "Sage" one of our favorite boys. An ALL girl litter!

All 4 girls are fat and healthy, cant wait to watch them grow!

Updates @ Cassbar March 2015

Funny how time fly's so quickly, we had a pretty fast winter, it was cold, but spring seems to have arrived in Manitoba!

We were blessed to be able to get out of the frigid cold this winter, and went to Hawaii in the end of January!  We were able to stay with our great friends Jackie & Larry Thuener for the first few days, then off to the North shore to our beautiful rental in the country, with great friends.   We had a blast!   Watching the Surfing competition and then Whales in the far distance was truly breathtaking!
