Ok So i said this was the most updated. WHOOPS

Its a few hours before the new year starts.  HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone

So the year is just about over, i guess i should do my last 2011 update  :)

We had a great start to the year, with our baby "Jackson" Ch. Cassbar's Man in the Mirror winning 4 Best puppy in Shows, 12 Puppy groups, Multi Group winning, and just as he hit a year old, a Best In Specialty Show!
He Managed to keep the Top Puppy In Canada spot right into June, but had aged out in March.
We brought him out a few weekends to keep him in training, and working his show training for the year.   He managed to end the year as the #5 Sheltie in Canada! (canuck stats)

Our Horrible moments was that our puppy boy "Kane" had gotten lost in the end of March.   He was so young and it was so cold out there, it was a race to find him before the cold got to him, or the wildlife. By Miracles i found him lying out in a snow bank in the sun, in the middle of nowhere, after 36 hrs out there in the cold.  Finding him IS my highlight of the year.    Thanks to all who came and helped, you know how much that means to us.

Same weekend, our friends and handlers took the dogs entered in the show that weekend and showed them for me.  "Miley" finished her Championship that weekend, so she became Ch. Cassbar's Roadside Attraction.

From there, her kids also finished this year.   "Harley" owned by Summer Armitt finished becoming Ch. Cassbar's High Performance.   His sister, owned by Renee Hughes also finished, up in one weekend, she is now Ch. Cassbar's Agile Quick Step.
Our baby Kane was 6 months the weekend of Kenora shows, so was entered a couple days, attaining a BPIG and 5 points, finishing his Championship the next weekend with Multi BPIG's under breeder Judges!.  He is now Multi BPIG Ch. Amanchara Prototype
Also finishing this year is our lovely "Lyric" from Kensil's Shelties. Lyric finished her Ch at 10 months old she is now Ch. Kensil's Lyrical World at Cassbar

Also our "LexixNemo" Litter, Rafiki co owned by Claudia Proctor, showed this little baby to his Championship quickly finishing before he was 9 months of age.  He is now Ch. Cassbar's Circle of Life

"Dart" and his Pilot Jeff Mortensen had a wonderful year, there is so many new titles i would have a problem typing them all.  All i know is this team is amazing to watch, and their achievements are huge!
He is a Triple Champion in Conformation & Agility with titles like this, im in awe
Ch. AtchC Adch Cassbar's Blue Hill True Flyte  Bronze AOM, VBA, MSCDC, EXST- Bronze, EXJ- Bronze, (USDAA) SACH-Silver, SCH-Silver, JCH-Silver, TM-Bronze, RCH-Bronze, GCH,  (Nafa) Onyx

We love the updates you all send.  "Zoom" Ch. Cassbar's Glamoor Midnight Express CDX, RAE, Ag.J has achieved a very rare title in Canada (ckc)  Zoom & Jade were awarded their Herding Championship Arena Title this fall.  He is now a Dual Champion.

"Levi" Ch. Cassbar's Classic Jeans has earned his OTCH title with Multi High In Trails, Levi end s the year #  6 obedience Sheltie in Canada Owned by my Mom Terry Lambert

"Hope" is now Atch Cassbar's Made me do it is now a agility trial Champion finishing in November this year.   She is piloted by her owner Jo-anne Coulombe
Suzanne Boltd & Token have taken off their first year trialing, and went MADc (Master agility Dog) He also has done some winning in the Breed Ring, now at 4 points. Cassbar's Flyin High again MAD, he has also certified as a working dog & service dog working in seniors homes.

Also have "Presley" sitting at 8 points, and "Bean" sitting on 5 points, will be no time they will be finished too.

We had tons of titles, firsts, and amazing puppies, teams and homes.
There is a few oldies out there strutting their stuff, Rory the amazing wonder dog has still been out at some trials, and he is 12+ years of age
Some of our young pups are having first of their own, Jovi, weaving 12 poles in consistent manners at such a young age.   Bella who was just to be a active family pet is taking leaps and bounds in Agility classes, these dogs get such confidence from all these different sports.
All these dogs are beloved pets first, and thats the best part of any of the titles or placings.
Rescue has also been fairly busy, we had 4 Shelties come threw rescue this year.  We had 2 obese shelties, its unfortunate that we lost one, the other is doing well and loosing weight still after 6 months, it may take years.
The other 2 were signed over to me by the WHS & Province, i assume the girls were in a bad situation, probably living in something like a crack house.  :(  Both are re-homed (together) and doing awesome, they have re grown coat and are learning to just be "dogs" the way they should have.  Thank you to those who have adopted our Shelties threw rescue, you do so much for them the time effort and funds that it takes to get these kids back in shape.  THANK YOU!

Im sure i have forgotten something

So We've had one HECK of a year, thank you to all who are part of the fun, friends,  family and all!

Where did the summer go!

We have had a great fall.  The weather has been gorgeous with only a few days dipping below zero overnight.   Cant complain about that!  No bugs and no cold!

The dog scene is finally slowing down, shows are over with just the Brandon show left for the year local.
Alexis has new babies on the ground, they are 9 days old today!  Eyes should be open soon.  We have 2 Blue girls! 1 Blue boy and a Tri boy.   Everyone is healthy and happy!  Cant ask for anything more.

We've had a ton of things happening threw the past few weeks.   Have to first off congratulate Jeff Mortenson on him & Dart's accomplishments in Agility in Canada & the US!

Ch. ATChC ADCH Cassbar’s Blue Hill True Flyte     (AAC) Bronze Award of Merit, VBA, MSCDC, ExSt – Bronze, EXJ – Bronze, EXS – Bronze, (USDAA) SACH – Silver, SCH – Silver, JCH – Silver, TM – Bronze,  RCH-Bronze, GCH, (NAFA) Onyx
Thats how his titles go now. WOW and HUGE Congrats on such achievements.
We have tons of New updates and titles im sure, but will get to those soon!

We have a few oldies still out there competing in Agility.  Carla & Rory are still playing!  He would be almost 13 i think?  WOW.  Carla's says that he is fine to run agility but cannot do a course in the late afternoon, that can coincide with this NAP TIME!  ;)  Love it

Plese do update me with Titles & Photo's.

We've had a Few new Champions in the last few weeks also!   "Lyric" My RED RED sable girl from Kensil Shelties is now a new CH!  She finished up her title from the 9-12 puppy class!  New Ch. Kensil's Lyrical World at Cassbar

Also from BC, Renee Hughes and her "Quick"  (Miley x Robin) went out to do some work in Conformation, thinking she was a bit naked, but why not get some experience, cleaned up and finished Quick's Championship with one Winners female and 2 Best of Winners!  What a weekend the two of them have had!  Onto bigger and better stuff right Renee!  New Ch. Cassbar's Agile Quick Step

Here in Manitoba, Claudia Proctor was working with her Alexis Baby "Rafiki" he was at 6 points already from the Junior puppy class going into the Thanksgiving weekend, Fort Garry Shows.   Well the team did awesome, taking Winners Dog x 2 to finish up his Ch!  Congrats you two you looked awesome!  New Ch. Cassbar's Circle of Life.

I had entered a couple days also, with Bean & Jackson.   My little Bean thought she  deserved some of the spotlight also (Rafi's sister) and she went Reserve the first day and Best of Winners the second day of shows to put her at 5 points!  Half way there!

These 2 babies are from Alexis & Nemo's litter, just 7months old, Rafiki is now the first Can Ch. for Nemo!
heres a shot of them both winning at MCA shows in August

"Jackson" Got to come out and play a bit, and on Monday took a Group 4th in a lovely line up, just being a baby, we are very thrilled with how he's maturing!

HOT HOT SUMMER!

Well summer is hot, and its just flying by! Its already the middle of August, and 37 Celcius on the way home from work today!
The WASSA Specialty & MCA weekend is OVER, and done with, which was also hot!
"Bean" our baby bi black, Lexi & Nemo's kid took BOW the first day for her first 3 points!  She had tons of fun! her brother "Rafiki" also got points on the weekend with his WD and first 2 points.
Suzanne Boldt came in from Alberta for the weekend with Token Cassbar's Flyin High Again, and he got to play a bit in the conformation ring!  He got Reserve Winners Dog at the Specialty & Booster and went home with his first 2 points towards his Championship!
"Beau" was in the Specialty and got the BOS Vetran in Sweeps & Altered prize, thanks Claudia for showing him for me.   She also showed Jackson in the Booster Saturday and took BOS with him, too!

The nicest part of the weekend was the tribute we did to Bev Parker, my friend and also Sheltie fancier who passed away this past June.   She was a avid obedience competitor, even when her eyesight was disabled, she kept on and was busy training her dogs.   We had a tribute obedience trial in her memory, which will now happen with every WASSA Specialty we have.
Not only was that lovely to have so many people including her husband Gary there to support it, but my Mom, Terry Lambert & Levi  Cassbar's Classic Jeans won the HIGH IN TRIAL Ribbon and will now be the first named on the trophy tributed to Bev's name.  That was truly awesome for all of us.  I hope you watched over us Bev and approve.

Im preparing for a US weekend of shows, this coming Aug 26-28th, little more excited about the shopping more than showing, but will have news after the weekend.
:)

The young Pups at shows!

We have had some huge win's with the puppers.  Firstly, Baby "Kane" went to 2 days of the show in Kenora Ontario, he was just 6 months old and a few days.  His first day in the ring he went with his best Bud Leanne Maciver to be shown to Denise Cornelssen breeder/Judge.  His first Day he went onto getting Winners Dog and his First Best Puppy in Group!  Thank you both to Leanne & to Denise for this lovely win.
Second day i joined them in Kenora and we had a great day getting another 2 wins that day for BOW putting him on 5 points first weekend out! thank you to Judge Bart Miller

We had entered ALL 3 puppies in Thunder Bay Ontario the next weekend.  So off i went with 3 puppies, and Jackson to the shows.   I travelled up with Connie Krohn and was it a busy weekend for both of us!
Kane came away with another BPIG and to finish his Championship at 6 months and 10 days old under Breeder/Judge Mark McMillan

MULTI BPIG NEW CHAMPION AMANCHARA PROTOTYPE

We also put many points on the girls i had with me also.  "Lyric" Kensil's Lyrical World at Cassbar is close to finishing her Championship.  Here is a Picture of her BOW with Judge Mary White

"Presley" has also had some lovely win's including a Reserve WB at the Thunder Bay Specialty, she is now close to finishing, and this was a lovely win with Judge Jack Kilgour.   Kane had also won BOW/Best of Oppostite, Best Puppy In Group under Jack Kilgour that day.  Thank you for the lovely wins.

Jackson didn't get to be shown as i was so busy with the puppies, but we did get a win in that weekend, a Breed win and A group 2nd for our bratty Special.  He's so much fun to show, cant wait till he is more mature and we can play more.

Show Season begins!

So we had our Vegas trip, and came home to start the show season here.  I had Lyric in her first show just to get her out on mats, and she did really well, took some reserves.   We then had a US show to go to, Willow still needs her last point for her American Championship, but she managed to dump every last hair on her body, but we went anyway.  Both her and Jackson picked up Reserve Winners from the show, so we came home with no points, but we had some great shopping Kara & I.  : )
We have a few puppies out or young adults all going at the same time.  Of course Jackson as a Special.  Presley who has 4 points as of the end of May.    But another boy owned by Summer Armitt, "Harley" has been out with her exclusively.   "Harely" is out of our Miley who just fnished her Ch in March.  Harely and Summer played in a few Shows this summer and at Portage show on the long weekend of July he is now a NEW Champion Cassbar's High Performance.  His sire is "Robin" Ch. Skyehaven Rockin Robin HT, owned by a good friend Paula Reid, and that is the  first Champion Offspring for both Sire and Dam.  CONGRATS SUMMER & HARLEY!

Vegas Baby!!!

We've been to Vegas a few times now, but friends of ours hadnt, so we hit some of the great views of Nevada & Arizona! We did go see the Dam again, and this time at the Grand Canyon, we did a helicopter ride. Here are some pictures

The Bridge from the Hoover Dam. We had driven over it a few times, but never got to see the finished product. Looks Great!

Such an amazing structure, being in the business of big structure work, this feat amaze's us more than the Dam!

This was our Helicopter, we took a picture as it was loading the next crew out. The Helicopter took us over the side of the Grand Canyon, then down to the Colorado River, there we walked down to a river boat, that took us for a ride up the Colorado. She then turned off the motor and we floated back to the dock.

We had a great time on the Boat, and then back up to the Helicopter which flew us back up and over the Canyon wal, back the the Skywalk area to our bus home. We did some walking up at top, Pat & Dale walked up to the Highest point of the canyon.

That is the Skywalk, we had been on it before, so had Dale & Pat go on the Glass floored 4000 foot above ground structure, and we took pictures from the ground :)

Kind of puts life in perspective huh? WOW we are just tiny pieces of the puzzle. Very cool place on earth, glad we have gone and witnessed it.
